Lego® Optimus Prime Review

This Lego® set is definitely “more than meets the eye”.

The family totally surprised me this Father’s Day with a little bit o’ Lego® and a lot o’ bit of nostalgia. I absolutely had the original Optimus Prime Transformer back in the day, but sadly it disappeared many moons ago. Just holding the box brought me way back to my single digit years when my friends and I would play with the original Transformer toys for hours on end. Ahhh, the good ol’ days for sure!

If you have fond memories of the Hasbro toys, I hope looking through this post brings them back for you, as it did me. If you happen to be a bit younger than I am and never experienced the original toys, then scroll through the post and enjoy the building process.

Editor’s note: I am currently on Bag 7 of a 10-bag set. I will post a final review when finished but so far this set has been 100% worth the time, effort, and (my wife’s) money.

The opened box and all its awesomeness! The package at the bottom holds the directions. Brilliant idea! You can find the Autobot leader at Lego.com
How sweet are these instructions! No wonder they come in a holder. Get your set here.
Bag one sorted and ready to be transformed!
Bag one done! But wait, there’s more…than meets the eye! Keep scrolling.
OP’s chest opens up…. wonder what goes inside? If you know, you know.
Bag two completed.
Bag three in the books.
Bag four makes me want more!
Bag five and Optimus is coming alive!
Bag six is fixed and his build is shaping up nicely.
Another shot of bag 6… can you tell I really, really like the instruction book?

That’s my progress for now.

Keep checking back later this week for more pics of the process, the final build, and my review.

Keep on Buildng! – 3D
